2. Exploratory Data Analysis

2.1 Vizuzlization of death ,confirmed ,recovered and active cases

Figure 1 shows that number of confirmed cases per day in Guatemala.Using daily data, we can observe how fast the epidemic is growing. Data has recorded until on the 12th of May. According to this figure, more than 80 people infected coronavirus when the end of May. In late April shows a vast increase in confirmed cases. The average number of cases reported in May and April is higher. Among them, the May average is highest.

Figure 2 shows that confirmed cases per day and total confirmed cases in Guathemala. Using the plot of the total number of cases, we can easily identify how big it has grown overall. According to figure 2, the total number of confirmed cases is close to 1250 in mid-May.According to figure 2, the total number of confirmed cases is close to 1250 in mid-May. Less than 100 confirmed cases have reported in early April and close to 1250 people are infected coronavirus in mid-May.

2.2 Comparison with other countries

2.2.1 Comparison with Mexico.

Mexico, officially the United Mexican States, is a country in the southern portion of North America. It is bordered to the north by the United States; to the south and west by the Pacific Ocean; to the southeast by Guatemala, Belize, and the Caribbean Sea;Guatemala shares borders to the north and west with Mexico, so I chose to compare with Mexico .

According to figure 6 in Mexico confirmed cases reporting rate was increased gradually until mid-April. After that rate of increasing confirmed cases is gradually decrease. When consedering Guatemala confirmed cases rate increased in late March and the rate of increasing has gradually decreased.

Figure 7 clearly shows that the Mexico recovered rate of patients have increased until mid April but that rate has decreased to some extent after mid April.when considering Guatemala the recovered rate has decreased in the mid-April but rate increases in late April.

In figure 8 through out the period considered the number of deaths per day in Mexico has continuosly increased. When considered Guathemala im mid April highly incresed death per day.

2.2.2 Comparision with Neighbouring countries.

Guatemala is a country in Central America bordered by Mexico to the north and west, Belize and the Caribbean to the northeast, Honduras to the east, El Salvador to the southeast. Therefore,it is importatnt to compare with these countries.

According to figure 9, the number of confirmed cases in Belize is much higher than in the other countries considered. Mexico and Honduras have the next highest number of confirmed cases, respectively. Guatemala has the lowest death rate and the highest number of deaths.

2.2.3 Comparison with China Hubei and US

The two countries were selected because the virus began to spread from china Hubei province and has the highest distribution in the US.An also mostly located in central North America, between Canada and Mexico.

Figure 9 shows that the confirmed cases in the Hubei province of China has become stabel after mid February but other countires confirmed cases increase when that period. The number of confirmed cases reported in Mexico is low until the beginning of March, but more confirmed cases are reported from March than in other countries. When comapre with other countries number of death cases in US higher than other countries.Death cases in Guatemala are lower than in other countries, but the death rate is closer to Mexico. The US death rate shows some decrese after April.

According to figure 11 recorded number of recovered cases in the Hubei province of China has become stable after mid-march.The recovered rate of the US and Mexico is very similar but the number of recovered patients in the US is higher than Mexico. The Guatemala recovered rate is lower than other countries.

Figure 12 clearly shows that death rate and number of death in the US higher than Mexico,Guatemala and Hubei.China hubei province shows some increment in number of death in mid-April.The number of deathes and death rate in Guathemal is lower than Mexico, Hubei and US.

3. Conclusions and Discussion(Limitations)

The coronavirus stared in the Hubei province of China and spread rapidly during February and March. Then gradually became stable. According to the Countries considered, the virus started spreading in those countries in late March. In the US, the coronavirus continuous to grew and became difficult to control. Although it began to spread later, more deaths and confirmed cases reported. The number of cases recovered in each country is higher than the number of death cases. According to the data, the virus seems to have spread continuously in Mexico. About a month after the confirmed cases reported, the recovered cases appear. Among the countries considered, the death rate is highest in the US, second only to the Hubei province in China. The death rate in Guatemala is less than 1% of the infected. Therefore according to the data, When compared with other countries controlling the situation in Guatemala is much better.

The disease has reached different countries at different times, but comparing them all in this way can show whether the disease is progressing faster or slower in various places once it arrives. It is not possible to get an accurate decision based on the number of deaths. Because deaths depend on the underlying age and health of populations; the availability of various treatments; and the capacity of different health systems themselves. Some states and countries only report figures in which a coronavirus infection confirmed through testings. These comparisons are not fair. The spread of the pandemic has been very different in Europe and North America from most other countries in the world. They are affected by several factors like climate, geography, genetic make-up, age-structure of the population
